“Once” Upon a time!

A really interesting deal here. Aer Lingus is capitalising on the popularity of the broadway musical “Once” which is currently playing in New York. Its a full vacation package to Dublin with a tour to locations in the show accompanied by tickets to the show back in New York.

Having seen the show in New York its a great night out and this is an interesting package to compliment it. The show, written by Enda Walsh and directed by John Tireney is based on the low budget film of the same name directed by John Carney and filmed in Dublin. Both musical and film feature oscar award winning music by Glen Hansard.

I wonder will they do the same when the show comes to London next year!

Package Description

In celebration of the 2012 Tony Award-winning (8 in total!) Broadway musical, Once, Aer Lingus Vacation Store presents our “Once Again in Dublin,” a 4-night getaway designed to showcase both Once and the city in which it takes place.

Hailed by critics and audiences alike, Once tells the story of an Irish musician (“Guy”) and a Czech immigrant (“Girl”) drawn together by their shared love of music.

The “Once Again in Dublin” getaway includes Orchestra seats to see this magnificent musical on Broadway, as well as 4 nights at the contemporary and comfortable 4-Star Academy Plaza Hotel, located in the heart of Dublin, just off O’Connell Street. From here, it’s a quick walk over the Liffey River to Grafton Street, its buskers, pubs and shopping. And because no trip to Dublin is complete without a tour of its wonderful pubs, “Once Again in Dublin” also includes a Literary Pub Walking Tour of Dublin’s famous pubs, led by two professional actors.
